ES Podcast PIONEERS industry

The Enlightened Spartan podcast is a PIONEER in podcasting, being one of the first sports podcasts in history and the first ever college football podcast. First podcast was broadcast in December 2004.

The ES is sparking enthusiasm for
Spartan football from across the globe... With up to 7,000 weekly listeners during MSU's run through the NCAA playoffs in 2005, the ES podcast has reached a cult following worldwide (including listeners from Norway, Thailand, Persian Gulf, Australia) but primarily in midwestern United States. The future is bright, with tens of thousands of weekly ES podcast subscribers expected as the Spartans hit the gridiron each September.

What the media needs to know:

ES attended his first MSU FB game in 1975, a 28-0 loss to Ohio State in E. Lansing. He was 7 years old.

The ES attended MSU from 1986-1990 on the parent's dole. He attended the 1987 Rose Bowl victory over USC and has attended 101 Spartan games in his life -- including stints on the road at Oregon, Northwestern, at JoePa Field. He has never set foot in that shithouse in Ann Arbor. The ES has attended every home MSU football game from 1986-1998, and from 2001-present, with the exception of 2004 vs Minnesota.

The ES was employed in intercollegiate athletics from 1996 - 2001, and served in sports information from 1992-2001 at the Division 1, 2, and 3 levels.

The ES was an all-conference football and track athlete in high school.

The ES is a home brewer, specializing in Indian Pale Ales, and attempts to brew a special Spartan brew for the first home game each year.

The Enlightened Spartan collects no personally identifiable data in any and all of its features, and therefore protects user privacy while eliminating an unnecessary costly feature.

Affiliation
The Enlightened Spartan in no way is affiliated with Michigan State University, nor its athletic program or any of its partners or sponsors. All information obtained and posted by the Enlightened Spartan was already published and is obtained either via the internet, the Enlightened Spartan's confidential sources, or by The Enlightened Spartan itself.

User Information
The Enlightened Spartan is a free website to anyone interested in Michigan State Spartan athletics. There is no membership required or fees to join in any of its online games.

The Enlightened Spartan server collects non-personally identifying details such as, but not limited to, the server you are logged onto, the geographic location of the ISP you use, the type of browser you use, and your IP address. This information is obtained solely for the purpose of targeting ads and measuring a given ad's effectiveness on behalf of The Enlightened Spartan's advertising clients.

There are instances where a user may provide specific personal information in response to participating in a game. For such programs, this information is used by the Enlightened Spartan so the user can receive the goods or services if they win it in a game. User information is not used for any other purpose and will not be shared with advertising.
